One Group Of People Making A Better World
There are many important NGO’s around the world helping to keep countries together and stop chaos around the world. To me the most important and probably one of the biggest NGO’s is the United Nations. 
United Nations goes all around the world to help keep it a better place. They travel around to some of the troubled parts of the world and countries in conflict and help keep peace and stop the violence. Once they go to a place they investigate what the problem is and they try to take peaceful and fair solutions to fix it. The goal they are trying to reach is to ,maintain national peace, make sure there is security to keep it safe, develop friendly relations between nations with troubles, give people respect for equal rights and self determination, solving econmonic social cultural and humanitarian problems, keeping national laws, regulating labour, and curbing drug trafficking. They want to make sure kids can have a good life and not have to be stuck in labour and to make sure countries are peaceful and have no war so they can all be allies. The United Nations goes back many years. It first started in 1945 after president Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the declaration of independence. They decided that they needed some sort of thing to keep peace between different countries so that there would be less conflicts. Fifty different countries met up in San Fransisco and the United Nations officially started on October 24. Since then it has been working with 191 different countries around the world including Indonesia, Palestine, Falkland Island, Congo, Middle East, Hungary, Lebanon, Namibia, Dominican Republic, Namibia, Hungary and Afghanistan. As you can see the United Nations is a very important organization which helps keep our countries under country, at peace and make relations with each other so we can all be allies.
